Joseph L. Gronski

Joseph L. Gronski , 69, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Health Network – Cedar Crest, Allentown PA.

Born in Shamokin, January 22, 1953, he was a son of the late Ignatius  and Olga (Moses) Gronski.

Joe graduated from Pottsville Area High School in 1970. A certified Chef, he was a 1975 Graduate of the Culinary Institute of America with a degree in the culinary arts.

He was currently a Sales Representative for Keyco Distributors, Inc., Nanticoke.  He was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven; a Lifetime member of the Penn State Alumni Association, Brady Fire Company and Roedersville Game and Fish; and a member of the Schuylkill Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association and the USBC, most recently bowling on the Yuengling’s team in the 76ers League. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother William Gronski and a nephew, Kyle R Gronski.

Surviving are his wife of 46 years Diane (Todd) Gronski, three brothers Robert Gronski and his wife Janet (Menchey) of Mill Creek, John Gronski and his wife Colleen (Harley) of Hughesville, and David Gronski and his wife Raquel of Philadelphia,  one sister, Maria Sherakas and her husband Robert of Pottsville, nieces Elyse Beyer and her husband Jacob of Bernville, Fallon Gronski and her companion Ross Drick of Muncy, Heather and Fionah Gronski, Madison Sherakas,  nephews Trevor Sherakas and Justin Gronski, who was Joe’s godson, and his wife Adrienne of New Cumberland, goddaughter Crysta Heffner, Great Nieces and Nephews and many many others that called him “Uncle Joey” as a term of endearment.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday July 9, 2022 from the Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 North Second Street, St. Clair. The Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik  will be officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday July 8, 2022 and 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Penn State Dance Marathon, Attn: Finance THON Office,  227D Hetzel Union Building, University Park, PA 16802. Please be sure to include Joe’s name on the memo line of your check.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.
