Mchael Sutzko, 87, formerly of St. Clair, died Friday April 23, 2021 at 9:00 AM from lung cancer at Providence Place, Pottsville in the care of Compassus Hospice. Born May 6, 1933 He was the last surviving child of the late George and Irene (Baran) Sutzko. Preceding him in death were sisters; Mary Sutzko, Elizabeth Skubish, Verna Zabitzer, Irene Sutzko, Ann Borgen, brothers John, George, Steven and Andrew Sutzko.Surviving are 9 loving nephews and nieces who will remember their “Uncle Mickey.” Michael graduated from St. Clair High School in 1951 where he found his love for music in the Glee Club and Choral Ensemble under the tutelage of Mrs. Emily Gibson. He would continue with his love for choral singing by his life-time membership in the Tenor Section of St. Michael Orthodox Church Choir. Michael was inducted into the US Army during the Korean War and served stateside in the infantry. He was an honorable 50 member of the St. Clair American Legion Post 719.After his military service, Michael attended the Ford School of Business in Pottsville and earned an Associate Degree in accounting and bookkeeping. This would lead to his lifetime work as a bookkeeper at Bank of New York/Mellon until his retirement in the early 1970’s. He would return to his birthplace in St. Clair for the remainder of his life, living with his eldest sister Mary until her death. Funeral Services will be Tuesday April 27, 2021 at 11:00AM at St. Michael Orthodox Church 109 North Nichols Street, St. Clair, PA  17970. The Rev. Jeff Zias will be officiating. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home 110 N. 2nd street St. Clair, PA 17970. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer remembrances to St. Michael’s Building Fund at the above address. Burial with military honors will be in the parish cemetery,
