Mary K. Boran, 95, formerly of St. Clair, passed peacefully surrounded by her family, Sunday May 28, 2023, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.
Born in Pottsville, May 29, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Higgins) Hagan.
Mary worked many years in the local garment industry before retiring from Boyer Bakery, Orwigsburg.
She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair.
She was preceded in death by her husband William E. Boran in 1973, son Michael Boran in 1997, and a sister Margaret Androsko.
Surviving are a 2 sons Thomas Boran and his wife Penny of Linglestown; son John Boran and his wife Michelle of Pottsville; daughter Barbara Boran of Orwigsburg; 7 grandchildren Jeremy Hess, Lindsey Boran, Kyle Boran and his companion Rui Wang, Sean Boran and his wife Janai, Molly Hook and her husband Trey, Meghan Boran, Kelley Johnson, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM Saturday from St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 250 E. Hancock St. St. Clair with Msgr. William F. Glosser officiating. Friends may call from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clair Community and Historical Society 24 North Nichols Street St. Clair, PA 17970. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.
