Louis A. “Louie” DeMarkis , 88, of 12 East Hancock Street, St. Clair, died Saturday at Lehigh Valley Health Network – Cedar Crest, Allentown PA.

Born in St. Clair, November 15, 1929, He was a son of the late Attilio and Rachael (Stephen) DeMarkis.

 He retired having worked in the Garment Industry for  45  years at several area factories.

He was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair, where he was very active in Parish Activities. Louie was an avid outdoorsman belonging to The South End Field and Stream Association, Frackville. He also  a lifetime member of the Rescue Hook and Ladder Fire Company #3, St. Clair.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Mary Trapani and 3 brothers Paul, Francis, and Joseph DeMarkis.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Luby (Zagar) DeMarkis, 2 sons Louis DeMarkis Jr. St. Clair; John DeMarkis, Locust Grove, VA; 3 grandchildren Matthew, Brian, and Jared, sister Rose Prock, St.Clair; brother Attilio DeMarkis, St. Clair; nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christen Burial will be on Friday 10.30 AM, Sept. 21, 2018 at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church 250 East Hancock Street St. Clair, PA 17970 17970.

The Rev. William Glosser will be officiating.  Friends may call from the church Friday from 9:30AM till10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Claire of Assisi Memorial Fund.
