Lance D. Frew, 69, of 308 West Arch Street, Frackville, died Thursday December 29, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.
Born in Butler Township, February 27, 1947, He was a son of the late John and Minnie (Smith) Frew.
He served in the US Marines in Vietnam, receiving two purple hearts.
Lance worked at the former Zapata Industries, Frackville.
He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Frackville.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years Linda (Filer) Frew, son Mark Frew and his wife Kelley of Palmyra, grandchildren Grace and Wilson Frew, and daughter Wendy (Frew) and her Russ Nicodemus. Nephews and nieces include Brian and Rebecca Waizenegger, Joseph Tertel, Tracy (Tertel) and husband Jorge Hunter along with grand-niece Ayla. Other surviving loved ones include sister-in-law Sandra (Filer) and husband Joseph Tertel, and canine companions Buddy, Penny and Cody.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday from Nice-Hart Funeral Home, Inc, 9 North Lehigh Avenue Frackville. The Rev. David Grant will be officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday and 10:00-11:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Frackville.
