Alberta L. Bertsch

Alberta  L. Bertsch , 92, of Mahanoy City, formerly of St. Clair, died Wednesday April 6, 2016 at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.

 

Born in Shenandoah, June 20, 1923, She was a daughter of the late Adolf and Jennie (Mocknis) Subach.

 

She retired as a Nurses Aid from the former Rest Haven Nursing Home, Schuylkill Haven.

 

She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son John Bogdonanwicz in 1977 and a sister Margie Brozinsky.  

 

Surviving her are husband William  Bertsch of St. Clair; her 5 children Carol Curreli of Gilberton; Christine Petrovich and her husband John of Brandonville; Richard Bogdonanwicz and his wife Nancy of Ft. Wayne, IN; Donald Bogdonanwicz and his companion Cindy Jones of St. Clair; and Lori Bertsch of St. Clair; 2 sisters Dolores Horney of Zephyr Hills, FL and Loretta Sporay of Newark, DE; 3 brothers Adolf Subach of New Castle, DE; Clarence Subach of New Castle, DE and Albert Subach of New Castle, DE; 8 Grandchildren Carla, Mario, Candice, Jennifer, Rick, Justin, Donald and Dylan; 5 Great Grandchildren Rinatta, Rodney, Kylee, Conlan and Caleah; 1 Great Great Grandchild Rodney III; Nieces and Nephews.

 

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday April 12 from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 North Second Street St. Clair. with Msgr. William F. Glosser officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clare of Assisi Memorial fund, 250 E. Hancock St. St. Clair, PA 17970.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
