Lester was such a strong union leader with his union, SEIU 668, and a constant bright, wonderful person for everyone to be around. Longtime and new members will remember and miss his passion and advocacy for others. We send our deepest condolences.

Although I didn’t know Lester very well, I do know what a positive and uplifting person he was for everyone in Chapter 13 of SEIU668. He always tried to bring a positive message and a unity focused message to our Facebook group, and he will be remembered as a positive, active person. My deepest condolences to you, his family, and all of his friends.

Lester was my friend when we worked together in the 80’s. He was truly a larger than life character and one of the most wondrous specimens of humanity that I’ve ever known. He was both shameless and profoundly ethical. He was my mentor and taught me much of what it means to be both a man and and a human being. He and Sunny welcomed me into their family. We shared much kimchi and shots of Sambuca. He was the second Best Man in my wedding. I’ve regaled stories about him to my children. I don’t think a day has gone by that I haven’t though of him — though I’m ashamed to say I haven’t seen him in 10 years. RIP old friend!
