Robert J. Giba Sr., 75, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022, at his home in Frackville.
Born Sept. 11, 1947, in Frackville, he was a son of the late John and Constance (Vinskie) Giba.
Robert was a 1965 graduate of Frackville High School.
He was a member of the former St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Frackville, a member of the National Automatic Sprinkler Industry Local 669, Frackville Masonic Lodge 737, Rajah Shrine, Reading, a member of the Whippoorwill Dam, a Son of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the Goodwill Fire Company, Frackville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Craig) Giba, on Sept. 15, 2022,, and his sister, Patricia Grabey.
Surviving are son, Robert Giba and his wife, Jackie, of Frackville; daughter, Kathleen Etnoyer and her husband, Arthur, of Highspire; five grandsons, Craig, Bobby and T.J. Giba, Dominic and Michael Kadziela.
Calling hours for Robert will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at Nice-Hart Funeral Home, 9 N. Lehigh Ave., Frackville. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Morea Road, Frackville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph Center for Special Learning, 2075 W.
