William E. Powell, 87, of Mill Creek, passed away Saturday November 11, 2023 at The Gardens at York Terrace, Pottsville.
Born in Mill Creek Manor, January 26, 1936, He was a son of the late John and Jane (Noone) Powell.
He was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School, going on to serve in the US Army for three years.
He retired as a Mechanic from Androshick's Service Station, Mill Creek.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, twin, Joseph Powell; Jim Powell and Jake Powell; three sisters Eleanor Strickland; Anne Grickis; Catherine Schaeffer.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Thelma (Schroding) Powell; a son, W. Curt Powell and his wife, Carol Kurtz Powell of Phoenixville; a daughter, Jan Killian and her husband, Bryon of Pottsville; four grandchildren, Bryon Killian II; Chase Powell; Eric Kurtz; Steven Kurtz; Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 North Second Street St. Clair, PA 17970. Friends may call from 9:00-11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hillside SPCA , PO Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901.
