Wesley “Pap” Reedy

Wesley "Pap" Reedy, 76, of 231 Oak St., Minersville, died Thursday at Blaschak Coal Corp., Centralia.

Born in Orwigsburg, he was a son of the late Edward E. and Rita Ford Reedy.

He was a sergeant working for Lehigh Law Enforcement Officers Association, Pottsville. He also worked for Anthracite Protective Association LLC.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Huntzinger Reedy, in 1986; and a son, Ulmont Reedy.

Surviving are two daughters, Brendalee Altemos, Minersville, and Donna Miller, Lehighton; son, Ulmont Reedy, Schuylkill Haven; brother, Elwood Reedy, Mississippi; four granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 N. Second St., Saint Clair, PA 17970. The Rev. Peggy Sue Pfeffer will be officiating. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, Saint Clair, is in charge of arrangements.
