Vita (Modica) Valenti , 84, of Pottsville, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025 surrounded by her family. Born in Burgio, Italy September 9, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Carmelo and Catherine (Genova) Modica. Vita's passion was taking care of her family. She was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, PA She was preceded in death by her husband Filippo Valenti in 2016. Surviving are 2 sons Vito Valenti and his wife Kelli of Pottsville, Carmelo Valenti of Orwigsburg, brother Joseph Modica, Italy. sister Lia Nielli, Italy, grandchildren Phillip, Gabriella, Vito, Filippo, Olivia, Lucia and Samson Valenti. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 Wednesday, January 8, 2024 from St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 201 Randel St Schuylkill Haven Schuylkill Haven. The Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik will be officiating. Friends may call from 8:30 AM – 10:15 AM at the church.
