Vera M. Sleva, 83, of 68 Parallel Road, Pine Grove, died Sunday at Tremont Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Pottsville, Jan. 1, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Ida Anderson Berdanier.
She was graduate of Saint Clair High School.
As a homemaker, Vera's passion was being a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Vera was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Lutheran Church, Pine Grove.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Sleva, in 1994; and twin sons.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas Sleva, Pine Grove, and Timothy Sleva and his wife, Diane, Mill Creek; three grandsons, Thomas and Paul Sleva, Pine Grove, and Matthew Sleva, Port Carbon; four great-grandchildren, Faith, Valerie, Tyler and Madison; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 N. Second St., Saint Clair, with the Rev. Rich Shoenleber officiating. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ss. Peter & Paul Memorial Fund, 312 S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, PA 17963. Interment will be in Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Port Carbon.
