Born in Arnots Addition, Aug. 2, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Frances Hyduk Filer.
She retired as a machine operator at the former Saint Clair Garment factory.
She was a member of the former Ss. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Saint Clair, St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair, and ILGWU.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, JoAnne Maley; two sisters, Mary Szal and Pauline Feeney; and two brothers, John and Stanley Filer.
Surviving are her grandson, Jeffrey Maley; nieces and nephews, including her caregiver, Kathleen Acuri.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 N. Second St., Saint Clair. Monsignor William F. Glosser will be officiating. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clare of Assisi Memorial Fund, 250 E. Hancock St., Saint Clair, PA 17970. Interment will be in Queen of the Universe Cemetery, Norwegian Township. Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, Saint Clair, is in charge of arrangements.
