Rebecca E. Lecher , 83, of 2100 West Norwegian Street, Pottsville, died Tuesday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson St., Pottsville.
Born in Pottsville, May 27, 1931, She was a daughter of the late Warren and Sarah (Thomas) Mills.
She Graduated from Pottsville Area High School.
Rebecca worked many years in the cafeteria before retiring from the Pottsville Elementary School.
She was preceded in death by 5 brothers Joseph Mills, John Mills, Warren Mills, David Mills, Walter Mills and 1 sister Edith Hartstein.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years William Lecher Sr., 2 sons William Lecher Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Pottsville; David Lecher and his wife Jackie of Minersville;2 brothers Robert and William Mills, 3 sisters Evelyn Bruen, Laura Croll, Shirley Scheibiehut, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 North Second Street St. Clair, PA 17970. The Rev. Jack Murray will be officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Saturday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to defray funeral expenses. Inurnment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at a later date.
