Mildred T. Stoudt , 95, of Pottsville, died Monday , February 22, 2016 at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.
Born in Mill Creek, East Norwegian Twp., she was a daughter of the late Frank and Julia (McDonald) Hoke. She was the widow of Edward H Stoudt who died April 25, 1983.
A 1937 graduate St, Clair High School she and her husband operated a small neighborhood grocery in Pottsville in the late 1950's and 60's. She also worked at the Alcoa aluminum plant during World War II.
Mildred was a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.
She was preceded in death by 4 sisters: Catherine Hoke, Monica McCaffrey, Dorothy Snyder and Sara Brennan.
Surviving are a sister Elizabeth Didjunas, niece Kathleen Didjunas both of Pottsville and several other nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 PM Friday from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, 319 Mahantongo St. Pottsville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
