Michael Joseph Covach, 68, of Saint Clair, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 23, 2023, at his home.
Born Aug. 31, 1954, in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Michael and Julia (Collihan) Covach.
Michael worked for the Saint Clair Borough and for Hollander's as a forklift driver.
He was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sophia Covach, and a brother, Mark "Sparky" Covach.
Surviving are a son, Michael Covach, stationed with the Air Force in Okinawa, Japan; sister, Mary Ann Shappell and her husband, Bill, of West West Terrace; brother, Thomas Covach, of Pottsville; nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 N. Second St., Saint Clair. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839; Burial will be in Queen of the Universe Cemetery, Pottsville.
