John W. "Jack" Mogish, 70, of Klingerstown, died Saturday Jan. 8, 2022, at his residence.
Born in Shenandoah Heights, on Sept. 11, 1951, he was a son of the late John and Madelene (Flaim) Mogish.
Jack was a self-employed carpenter for many years. He was also a welder at Dana Parrish Steel. He retired from MI Window and Door, Hegins. There wasn't anything Jack couldn't fix. He was a jack of all trades.
He was a member of St. Michael Orthodox Church, Saint Clair, and a member of their Citizens Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Mogish, and his wife, Florence; and a sister, Letticia Klitsch.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Helen (Strenkowski) Mogish; two sons, John J. "Jake" Mogish, of Ashland, and James Mogish, of Klingerstown; daughter, Juliann Mogish, of Klingerstown; grandchildren, Jaclyn Mogish, John M. Mogish, both of Ashland; brother, David Mogish and his wife, Treva, of Arkansas; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, from St. Michael Orthodox Church, 109 North Nichols Street, Saint Clair, PA 17970. The Rev. Jeff Zias will be officiating. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, Saint Clair. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Michael Orthodox Memorial Fund. Burial will be in Holy Ascension Orthodox Cemetery, Frackville.
