Joan A. Price, 87, of Reading, formerly of Frackville died Saturday at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading.
Born in Frackville, April 25, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Irvin and Myrtle Derr Wagner.
Joan retired from sales at JC Penny Catalog Co., Reading, and was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Frackville.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert C. Lockett, in 1972; a sister, Wilmetta "Pat" Covelusky.
Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Glenn Price; daughter, Patsy Hamm and her husband, Clarence, Reading; two grandchildren, Marine Sgt. Maj. Scott Hamm and his wife, Beckey, and Lisa Hamm Petchonka and her husband, Rich; nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from Nice-Hart Funeral Home Inc., 9 N. Lehigh Ave., Frackville. The Rev. Kerry Smart will officiate. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Frackville, West Mahanoy Township. Nice-Hart Funeral Home Inc., Frackville, is in charge of arrangements.
