Jean "Gigi" Fitzgerald , 94, of Pine Grove, formerly of Frackville died Monday February 29, 2016 at Geisinger Hospital – Bloomsburg, surrounded by her family.
Born in Frackville, January 11, 1922, She was a daughter of the late Grant and Rachael (Derr) Wagner.
She grew up in Frackville, before moving to Roxborough and Plymouth Meeting for her working career. She retired as an Executive Secretary from Budd Co., Philadelphia and relocated to Frackville before moving to Providence Place, Pine Grove.
Jean was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Frackville. She was Caring, Loving and Generous, loved bingo, crocheting, sewing, puzzles and time with the family. She was especially fond of her dogs.
The last member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Joseph A. Fitzgerald on April 4, 2002; 6 brothers John, Francis, Irvin, Paul, Kenneth and George Wagner; sisters Mary Willard, Kathryn Seitzinger, Helen Garraway, Dorothy Wolfgang, Bertha Zimmerman, Alma Wagner and Emma Brassington; Nephews Harry Kline, John Keim, Wayne "Butch" and Joe Garraway; Niece Jean Wagner.
Surviving are Niece, Nephews and their families including Ruth Onisick and her husband Joe; Sue Seitz and her husband Kerry; Joseph Onisick and his wife Suzie; Carol Kline widow of Harry; Jean Keim widow of John; Ann Garraway widow of Wayne; Jack Wagner widower of Jean; Donna Finneran; Marilyn Bane and her husband Dr. Denis Bane; and many cousins. She will be missed by all.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday from Nice- Hart Funeral Home, Inc, 9 North Lehigh Avenue Frackville with Rev. Jonathan W. Hall officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Frackville.
