Helen Curry , 90, formerly of St. Clair, passed away MondayFebruary 15, 2016 at Schuylkill Center Nursing Home, Pottsville.
Born in Mt. Carmel, May 22, 1925, she was a daughter of the late George and Anna (Godocik) Matty.
She was of Protestant Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in by her husband John Curry in 1979;4 brothers George, John, Paul, Michael Matty; and 3 sisters Anna Allen, Margaret Evans, Sue Kontral; her favorite dog Bonnie.
Surviving are 2 daughters Janice Klebon and her husband Theodore of Shamokin; Donna Schweigert and her husband Al of Pottsville; 1 brother Albert Matty, Boston, and a granddaughter Lisa Urban.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday at the Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 North Second Street, St. Clair with Pastor Jack Murray officiating. Friends may call from 1:00PM – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hillside SPCA , PO Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, St. Clair .
