Dorothy K. Reed , 93, of 312 N. 2nd St, St. Clair, died Saturday at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Schuylkill at East Norwegian, Pottsville.
Born in Locust Valley, September 7, 1923, She was a daughter of the late Calvin and Grace Messerschmidt Bridygham.
She was a Waitress at the former Coney Island Restaurant and at McDonald's in Pottsville.
Dorothy was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, St. Clair; St. Clair Lions Club, St. Clair; Order of the Eastern Star, Cressona; Schuylkill Valley Matrons and was an avid Phillies and 76'ers Fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry C. Reed on Feb. 19,1990, 2 Brothers and 2 Sisters.
Surviving are a Son Charles and his wife Alice of St. Clair; 2 daughters Grace Karrer of St. Clair; Dorothy Pomian and her husband Robert of St. Clair; 6 Grandchildren, 19 Great-grandchildren, and 2 Great-great grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 PM Wednesday from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 North Second Street St. Clair. The Rev. Jack Murray will be officiating. . Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John United Church of Christ Memorial Fund , 45 S. Front St., St. Clair, PA 17970. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
