Clara "Claire" Suppanz , 88, of 16 West Centre St., Ashland, died Friday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Mahanoy Plane, September 15, 1927, She was a daughter of the late Elek and Anna (Baran) Chuba.
A graduate of Gilberton High School, she worked as a Type Setter at A.J. Bart & Sons, New York City.
She was a member of St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Maizeville.
Claire was preceded in death by 4 brothers Harry, John, Steve and Peter Chuba; 3 sisters Anne Sussman, Mary Pucher and Helen Dopkin.
Surviving are 2 sons Mark A. Suppanz of Montclair, NJ; Glenn P. Suppanz and his wife Jamie of Phoenix, AZ; a Grandson Noah Suppanz; a sister Stella Lee of Boulder, CO; Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 10:30AM from Nice Hart Funeral Home Inc. 9 N. Lehigh Ave. Frackville with Rev. Roman Pitula officiating. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. John Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Frackville.
