Anthony “Rock” Uroskie

Anthony "Rock" P. Uroskie Jr., 57, of Lost Creek, died Friday at his Residence.

Born in Big Mine Run, March 17, 1959, He was a son of Anthony and Irene (Turanin) Uroskie.

Rock was a miner/mechanic  in the coal industry since the age of 14.

He was a member of social member of the Centralia Fire Company.

Surviving are son Bryan Uroskie and his Fiancé Amanda Meskunas of Frackville; daughter Dana Demmi and her  husband John of, Virginia Beach; brother John Uroskie and his companion Judy Hubler of Ashland; 2 sisters Patricia Oshman and her husband James of Llewellyn; Denise Brennan and her husband Elvin  of  Forestville, granddaughter Emily Marie Houser, nephew Mark Oshman and his wife Kristin; niece Donna Brown and her husband Bob; great nieces Ashley Smulligan, Nicole Smulligan; Janelle Oshman; Lea Oshman; 2 great-nephews Jason Koch, Elvin Brennan, and his beloved  dog Bam-Bam.

Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00  PM Tuesday from Nice- Hart Funeral Home, Inc, 9 North Lehigh Avenue Frackville. The Rev..Mindy Heppe  will be officiating.            Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home . In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hillside SPCA 51 SPCA Road PO Box 223, Pottsville PA 17901.. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
