Anna M. Vockie, 90, of St. Clair, died Monday at Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family
Born in St. Clair, September 29, 1925, She was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Getsie) Fitz.
She was a Co-Owner of the former Chet & Ann's Cafe, St. Clair.
She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair; served as the Secretary of the Immaculate Conception Church Rosary Alter Society and was active in the choir and a cook at the church hall.
She was preceded in death by her husband Chester Vockie in 1988; 2 sisters Mary Williams and Elizabeth Bell; 2 brothers Joseph and Edward Fitz.
Surviving are 2 daughters Charlotte widow of Pat Shields, of St. Clair; Diane Haney and her husband William of St. Clair; Grandchildren John Patrick Shields and his wife Lynn of Dover, DE; Heather Alansky and her husband Scott of Barnesville; 4 Great Grandchildren Riley and Peyton Shields; Macy and Brady Alansky; Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on 10:00 AM Tuesday from the Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home 110 N. Second St., St. Clair. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM Tuesday from Immaculate Conception Church, 6 Caroline Ave. St. Clair with Msgr. William Glosser officiating. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday and 9:00-10:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clare of Assisi Memorial Fund 250 E. Hancock St. St. Clair, PA 17970. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, St. Clair.
