irginia Lee Covach-Bruno, 45, surrendered her spirit to God on Sunday evening from her residence at 31 Pickwick Place, Reading.

Born in Pottsville on December 15, 1968, “Lee” was a daughter of William S. Covach, Sr. and the late Virginia (Lewis) Covach.

She was the beloved wife of Stephen S. Bruno, to whom she was married for 17 years.

In addition to her husband and father, Lee is survived by brothers William S. Covach, Jr. and wife Brenda (Saint Clair), Paul H. Covach and wife Nancy (Shillington), and sisters, Karen M. Brinser and husband Roger (Lindenhurst, IL), Ashley M. Gipprich and husband Richard (Wyomissing), and Cathy L. Covach-Hale (Schuylkill Haven),  nieces, nephews, and her faithful dog companion Finnegan.

Lee was a member of the St. Clair Area High School Class of 1986, where she had been inducted into both the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta (math honor society).  She was president of her graduating class at Reading School of Nursing, and worked as a Registered Nurse in the Reading area for many years.

As the youngest of six siblings, Lee was especially cherished by her loving, devoted parents.  Yet, this adored child grew into a compassionate, generous woman, beautiful both inside and out.  More than anything, Lee personified sweetness.  Her gorgeous grin and joyful laughter will forever echo in the hearts and minds of those who were blessed to know her.  She loved her family and friends passionately, and was just as loved in return. She will be profoundly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 19 at 10 A.M. from Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Lakeview Drive and Franklin Street, West Reading, PA 19611.  The Rev. Msgr. Joseph A. DeSantis will be the celebrant.  Calling hours at the church will be Thursday evening, September 18 from 6-8PM, and Friday morning 9AM until time of service.  Interment will be at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association,  PO Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693or Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Rd, Birdsboro, PA 19508.

Steve, I am shocked and saddened by the news of your loss. Cherish your memories. Look forward to the day that you will reunite with her in Paradise, but don't rush it.  Your purpose on earth has not yet been fulfilled.

Saddened to hear of your deep loss and you are in my prayers at the Lord's Throne of grace and mercy.  Always enjoyed times with Lee and joking with her.  Know she will be deeply missed.
