Paul V. Taposkie

Paul  V.  Taposkie , 85, of 996 Long Run Road, Pine Grove, died Thursday August 18, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. 

Born in Duncott, December 9, 1930, He was a son of the late Paul  and Sadie (Maszunga) Taposkie. 

Paul severed in the US Army during the Korean War. 

He  retired as a Maintenance Manager at  the former Exxon Chemical Company , Marlin..

Paul owned Long Run Stables and loved working on his farm. He was an avid horse lover and enjoyed attending horse shows with his children and grandchildren and could always be seen cheering on the riders from the stables. He was a 4-H leader of the Mustangs club for many years. He also was an avid sports fan and especially loved the Philadelphia Phillies.  He got great joy from attending practices and games in which his grandsons and great grandson played and loved tailgating at the high school football games with his motor home. 

He was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven. 

Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Eleanor (Earlosky) Taposkie, 2 daughters, Christine Gorman and her  husband Brian of Schuylkill Haven; Melissa Mehle and her husband David of Orwigsburg; 5 grandchildren, Stephanie Lehman-Schaeffer, Guy Lehman, Matthew Lehman, Robert Allison III, Amanda Wessner, 6 great grandchildren, Chase Matthew, Jack, Aiden, Emma and Aubree, brothrer-in-law Aaron Earlosky, sister-in-law Elsie Fragale, nieces and nephews. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM  Wednesday from St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 201 Randel St Schuylkill Haven Schuylkill Haven 17972. The Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik  will be officiating. . Friends may call from 9:00 AM – 10:15 AM Wednesday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to At. Ambrose Building Fund. Burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Twp .
