Mark ” Sparks ” Covach

Mark “Sparky”  Covach , 58, of St. Clair, died Sunday May 28, 2017 after a short courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Pottsville, August 22, 1958, He was a son of the late Michael and Julia (Collihan) Covach.

He was a graduate of the former St. Clair High School and was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair.

Sparks loved his job at Empire Education Group where he worked for over 30 Years. He also loved his dear cat Fuz. Everyone who knew Mark will always remember him by his laugh. His family, friends, co-workers will miss him for sure.

Surviving are a sister Mary Ann  Shappell and her husband William of West West Terrace; 2 brothers Thomas Covach and his  wife Mary Ellen of Pottsville; Michael Covach of St. Clair; nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Friday from St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 250 E. Hancock St. St. Clair. The Rev. Msgr. William F. Glosser  will be officiating. . Friends may call from 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM Friday at the Bruce T. Hart   Funeral Home 110 N. 2nd Street St. Clair, PA 17970.. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hillside SPCA , PO Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901. Burial will be in Queen of the Universe Cemetery, Norwegian Twp. .
