Karen Motto   Kobige , 70, of 51 Caroline Ave., Pottsville, died Thursday at home surrounded by her family. 

 

Born in Pottsville, July 7, 1943, She was a daughter of the late Jesse  Nester and Kathryn (Auman) Motto.

 

 

She worked many years at State Manufacturing and several area garment companies before retiring as a  Nurses Aide from Manor Care, Pottsville.

 

She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair, PA

 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her stepfather Michael Motto and brother Francis Motto.

 

Surviving are her Husband Robert Kobige of Dieners Hill;  a son Robert Kobige  and his wife Joni of Minersville; a daughter Kristine Gemmell and her  husband Shawn of St. Clair, 3 grandchildren Cody Gemmell, Natasha Normand and Raymond Sukeena; 2 Great Grandchildren Garrett and Alexa Sukeena; 4 Sisters in law Elizabeth Donlin, Anna May Berrang, Florence Leddy, and Helen Melochick; Aunt Agnes Golca; Nieces and Nephews. 

 

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 N. Second St., St. Clair with Msgr. William F. Glosser  officiating. . Friends may call from 7:00 -9:00 PM Tuesday and 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM Wednesday the funeral home.   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110  . Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Dieners Hill.

Kristine & family,

Our thoughts & prayers are with you.Karen always put family first & was such a caring person.

She always had a great sense of humor which always helped  the staff at Manor Care get through the night. May she rest in peace.
