Janet Marie Blackwell

BlackwellJanet Marie Blackwell, 96, went home to be with her LORD and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 27.  She was a resident of Cedar View Apartments and currently living at Cedarbrook Nursing Home for Rehab.

 

Born in Port Carbon, January 4, 1919, She was a daughter of the late Samuel and Clara (Wolf) Wesner.

 

Janet was a Homemaker and a longtime member of St. John's United Church of Christ, St. Clair.

 

She was preceded in death by her first husband William Foster and second husband William Blackwell, two brothers and one sister.

 

She is survived by her daughter Beverly Wohlbach and son-in-law Harry, along with grandchildren; Cindy Schreiter and her husband Keith, William Sanderson and his wife Darlene, Leslie Salzman and her husband Timothy, Alyssa Meusel and her husband Fred, 6 Great Granddaughters: Sara Geer and her husband Matthew, Elizabeth Sanderson, Stacey Schreiter, her special Angel, Janet Sanderson, Lindsey Salzman, and Annmarie Sanderson, 3 Great Grandsons:  Andrew Salzman, James Salzman, and Luke Salzman, one Great-Great Grandson, Mason Geer.

 

At Janet's request Funeral Services will be Private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, St. Clair.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the United Church of Christ, 45 S. Front Street. St. Clair.
