Born in Saint Clair, Feb. 16, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Getsie Fitz.
She was a floor lady at the former Saint Clair Garment factory.
She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Saint Clair, and the former Immaculate Conception Church, where she served as vice president of the Rosary Altar Society, sang in the church choir for 45 years, served on the Altar Linen committee and was head cook for the social hall for many years. She also was a member of the East Norwegian Township Fire Company.
Her great joys in life were her grandchildren, going to the casinos and crabbing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Bell; son, Daniel Bell; brother, Edward Fitz; sister, Mary Williams; and granddaughter, Denise See.
Surviving are a son, Richard Bell, Mar Lin; a sister, Anna Vockie, Saint Clair; a grandson, Richard Bell Jr.; granddaughters, Darlene Meyers and Bonnie Stoppie; seven great-grandchildren, Christopher and Joshua Bell, Wesley and Kelsie Fiscus and Ryan, Kyle and Kathlyn Meyers; two great-great-grandsons, Ryan Daubert and Chase Bell; a great-great-granddaughter on the way, Emma; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from Immaculate Conception Parish, 1 Caroline Ave., Saint Clair, PA 17970, with Monsignor William F. Glosser officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 N. Second St., Saint Clair. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Rosary Altar Society at the church's address listed above. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, East Norwegian Township.
